Before the Internet before even TV the Golden Age of Radio captured our imagination with music, comedy, and drama programs that created a "theater inside the mind." Imagine finding an actual script from the golden age of radio drama...that comes to life.

Listen to… learn about… experience… and even recreate that vanished era with RadioBooks. Read the actual original script of "Murder through the Looking Glass", an episode of the classic radio series "Suspense." Follow along and hear the original broadcast as performed by Gregory Peck and cast on March 17, 1949. Or touch the sound effects and music cues written into the script and Follow along, make your own original performance!

Read it play it perform it the power of the iPad makes it possible for the first time. You'll see the actual radio script with its hand-marked edits and deletions, which has been precisely scanned from the original pages stored in the archives of the Generic Radio Workshop. Swipe from page to page to read it, just like an ebook. But this script is fully interactive, filled with vintage music and newly-recorded sound effects that can play along as you go. Or just sit back, close your eyes, and listen to the original exciting 1949 dramatic performance featuring Gregory Peck.

Suspense was one of Radio's finest programs, featuring top stars in gripping dramas which kept the listener in suspense right until the last minute. It was one of the final shows of radio's Golden Age, with a two-decade run that rang down the curtain on network radio in 1962. (It was also one of the earliest live television dramas.)

"Suspense: Murder Through the Looking Glass" is the first script brought to life as a RadioBook from the archives of the Generic Radio Workshop. More scripts and series will be released on a regular basis, so stay tuned!

You don't have to love vintage radio to appreciate everything Larry has packaged into this app. But you probably will after you experience it. Great entertainment and clever interplay between the original script and the program itself. Bravo!

Our family had a great time following the marked-up script and listening to Gregory Peck and the rest of cast. This app helps to bring the OTR performance to life. Even family members that were not so interested in OTR followed along. We are looking forward to additional scripts and other app innovations to enhance the OTR experience.
